Our goal is to provide the best possible care for you and your pet at reasonable prices. All expenses will be discussed before they are incurred. We also have extremely good relationships with area specialists and can arrange appointments with them for you as situations arise.
A thorough physical exam and full consultation is the cornerstone of every appointment. We strive to make sure that we have heard your concerns at every appointment. We will ensure that you have a full understanding of the situation, our recommendations, and your options every time you come in. This enables us to come up with the best treatment plan for you and your pet.
We have in-house capabilities for complete routine bloodwork (CBC and Chemistries, Hormonal Assays) as well as urinalyses, fecals, and cytologies allowing us to provide rapid test results in most cases.
We also have a comprehensive onsite pharmacy to address the majority of our patients’ medical needs.
If these needs cannot be met onsite, we will again take the time to arrange the best possible diagnostic tests and treatments through our outside reference laboratory and compounding pharmacies.
Prior to being anaesthetized every patient receives pre-surgical bloodwork and a full exam. While under anesthesia, patients are continuously monitored for heart rate/electrocardiogram, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, and respiration.
We are equipped to do most soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. If the situation requires it, we have a number of specialists that will come to the Jasper Animal Hospital and refer to all area specialty clinics, always placing the needs of the animal first.
Appointments can be scheduled at no charge for dental exams or consultations to discuss your pet’s dental health and any procedures that may be necessary. Should a teeth cleaning under anesthesia be indicated, we have digital dental radiology and state of the art dental machines to provide for thorough cleanings and will always discuss ongoing dental hygiene.
Jasper Animal Hospital’s advanced digital radiography enables our veterinarians to get a look at what is happening inside your pet using noninvasive techniques. This equipment provides immediate imaging results while maximizing image quality with less radiation exposure. Additionally, radiographs can easily be copied onto compact discs or sent via e-mail for consultation with specialists.
We have in-house ultrasound available for urgent care or brief exams. If necessary we will arrange for a board certified radiologist to come to our clinic to perform a comprehensive evaluation and discuss their findings with our veterinarians, who will in turn discuss those findings with you as part of an overall plan.
Acupuncture and Laser Therapy
Dr. David Quint and Dr. Brianna Harris are both certified veterinary acupuncturists. Should this be a modality that may be of benefit, please schedule an initial consultation with one of them to discuss the logistics and possible value of acupuncture for your pet.
We also offer Class IV K-Laser therapy which can be of benefit post surgically for wound healing (this is routinely performed on surgical/dental patients as indicated) as well as addressing pain management and hard to treat conditions such as feline gingivitis and canine lick granulomas.
